Tim,

I gather from a previous message from Milton the Chameleon would cost only about $100 more than these Flea 2`s..

Of course there`d also be the obligatory development kit & $100 USD postage for me here in Australia.

I wonder what happened to the labels on these cameras..?

I had lunch with one of the Directors and head sales representatives for PGR a few weeks back when they were in Calgary on business. We had a really good talk on various issues, like the lack of ability to get pricing online, the kit cost, improvements to cameras (i.e. ability to turn off the CCD amplifier for long exposures)

The "must purchase a kit" issue for the first camera requirements is going away. It will be optional and was mainly intended for people with no built in hardware.

Also, I was told that if you have bought the kit before, you can send them a serial number for that camera (as proof you bought it) and they they won't charge you for it (they also don't include it either). So you may be able to work around it.

HTH..
