Subject: Re: [Astro_IIDC] LRGB Color version of NGC 6995 Veil East

Hi Jim;

Thanks.

Even with the IDAS Hutech LPR filter (reduces the light pollution by ~ 220%) , I'm getting sky glow of 18,000 out of 65,535 for the luma images with 15 minute exposures, so the lower 1/3 of the image is brightness is light pollution With out it, the sky glow would be about 40,000 and basically you would see no nebula at all, just stars. That's on a good clear night and if there is any haze, the light pollution can easily double or higher.

Hi Folks;

I had some time this evening to work on the LRGB Color version of

NGC 6995, which is the south part of the East veil nebula.

Despite the weird turbulence issues, it turned out better than I expected.

It's really weird the way the same strands change color back and

forth from Red to Green.
