Did you actually measure the screen brightness using Digital Color meter or another method?

In full sunlight (or with a bright light source at night), it's tough to see what level your actually achieving.

Don't forget that people do narrow band (i.e Ha with like 3 nm band width) imaging all the time too, which is somewhat similar.
