And the Grasshoppers have a 14 bit versus Flea 2 12 bit  A/D converter too. So you get 2 times as many tonal ranges too to capture more subtle details.



And can't you daisy a flea2 onto the grasshopper?


Yes you can :)


My OAG rig has two cameras run off one FireWire 800 cable. I have a TIS 640x480 mono (for guiding) connected via a short FW400 to FW800 cable running to the second FW800 port on the Grasshopper.


If PGR had made the long exposure control better (i.e. like TIS did), I could hook up the GPIO pins on the Grasshopper to either control he HEQ5 ST-4 Guide port or pass serial commands to the hand controller and I'd be down to one wire to control everything going to the mount and cameras.
