Nice image Jim! I know you, Milton & many others over in northern America have been experiencing poor weather. The guys on the CAA-P (Centra Alberta astrophotography) group which I belong to have been reporting the same.

This may sound superstitious but the weather here has been dodgy again since Autumn & I in the end resorted to every trick at my disposal to clear the clouds the other night..!

It seemed the clouds on past occasions were deliberately turning up at times which confounded what I wanted to do.

For instance I had to do an alignment earlier to track most accurately then cover the scope during rain & image later..

Miraculously I had clear skies just at the right times.. but all I had tried to do was run everything possible to ground (including adding some rather dubious items to my flickr page then retracting them later.. much against my idea of proprietry..)

I know this may sound like putting on X-ray glasses or something to achieve what is really a pseudo- scientific result..(?)

Hell, the weather is really based on paranormal premises I think..like these earthquakes etc. in Japan..

Here`s the original processed image I obtained after all in case you`d like a peek.

I've been up for the past 20 hrs so going to bed, here's my final reprocess which is considerably smoother and more natural looking.
