Subject: SuperNova in M51 and Spectra Data Request

Hi Folks;

Apparently a SuperNova has gone off in M51 this week:

It's about a magnitude 14 now, so it likely would not be visible except in a 14" or larger scope.

And any of you who wanted Spectral measuring included in Astro IIDC 4.06.06, I will need some sample Spectral images to work with as tiff files. Please contact me directly at

and I'll fill you in with the details of what I need.
