To make matters worse last night I was getting messages from AstroIIDC saying that it can't stack and align most of the movies I'd taken? I'm using a new set-up called EQMOD with my EQ6 mount where Im running Windows under Parallels on my Macbook to control the mount.

I really do not see the appeal of EQMod over the normal hand controller. And there is a Mac version of EQMod out there too - but it only works either as a standalone controller or with Stellarium.

I wonder whether this is causing the problem with the movies? I've tried processing after the event i.e. when I'm not running Parallels and Windows but I get the same problem. This is with my DMK21AF04 camera and an older version of AstroIIDC BTW... any ideas on this?

Can you play back the movies you recorded with Apple Quicktime player or not?

I'll need to know what OSX version this is, what version of Astro IIDC, what Mac model it is, what error messages your getting, what your movies look like (single frame for example), the movie recording logs, the stacking log and then more details before I can make any guesses what's wrong.

It would be a bummer if I can't operate both systems at the same time.

There is no reason it wouldn't work except if Apple or Parallels is screwed up.

Sometimes a re-boot is needed because OS X is in a bad state. Snow Leopard has been bad for this - Lion far worse. I don't have any experience with Parallels, but unless they are doing really weird crap, it should not affect OS X code.

I look forward to any comments and advice.
