Using the monochrome camera I can easily go to f30 but if the seeing does not cooperate it just makes no sense.
Wow 5" scope at f39 I have to say these images are great considering the equipment you used.

Nice image. The Mars actually has a good amount of detail for F20 and it's miniscule size this opposition.
I tried imaging Venus in UV a few weeks back and seeing was so bad at F8 with the AT8RC scope that I didn't bother capturing anything. I could not get it into sharp focus and even using the nearly full moon, it was difficult achieving focus due to rapid high frequency turbulence.
