Subject: Re: [Astro_IIDC] Saturn?

Hi  Milton,

Thanks and I have been using the very latest iteration of AstroIIDC.  Now that I've discovered the FW800 port on my MBR I have both Flea3 and FW400/Scorpion (1600x1200) cameras plugged in and running 2 copies of AstroIIDC.  I find this very handy because every time I pull my collapsible newtonian out and retweak the collimation it throws my finder off enough that its almost impossible to place an object even at f/15 on the small Flea3.  So I slip in the big Scorpion, find the target and recalibrate the finder, and slip the Flea3 back in.

regards,

Jim

Hi Jim;

Very nicely done.

Thanks for sharing..

PS: Did you do the stacking with Astro IIDC 4.08.00 Alpha 03 or not?

I think I'm going to lay off the planetary imaging for a while as I

recoup my lost sleep.  It's funny how you absolutely cannot automate

planetary imaging as opposed to deep space stuff.  I'll do one more

session when Saturn is at opposition.
