I have been using Astro IIDC on my MBP I7 8GB Snow Leopard x64 256gb SSD for a few days now..  I have captured full frames with my Grasshopper Express 2.8 while broadcasting a Live HD feed to the internet through Camtwist.  Now my Laptop went to a snail's pace but it did not drop any frames.  I usually grab 175 frames at a time.
