There is a checkbox for that option on the "Preferences Sheet". It is described on page 87 of the Astro IIDC 4.07.03 help guide. 

The "After Saving a Movie, open it with the default application." check box allows you to specify if the movie you just recorded is opened automatically or not. If it's check marked, then the default application for opening movies will be told to open and display it.
