Dear Teruo;

It could be old firmware and you would need to update it to the most recent version, which is :

"Firefly MV Firmware v1.6 Release 0"

That is the same issue that the Chameleon cameras had - easily solved if you update tot he latest firmware version.

You need to log in to the PGR site to get the Firmware update and then install it under Windows with UpdatorGUI2 in the FlyCapture2 SDK.

I do have customers using them with no trouble - including the model you mentioned.

HTH..

I received the PGR Firefly camera from the eBay listing.  I'm seeing no video, but am assuming I don't have my system/software setup correctly.

I have an unregistered copy of AstroIIDC.  I set the default folder in Preferences.

The camera is connected to the USB port on my Mac (I've tried two different Macs) and the green LED on the camera is on.

The MacOS system report shows that it recognizes the camera.  (Output pasted below.)

In AstroIIDC, the only menu command selectable is "File"->"Open Camera...".  Selecting "Open Camera..." yields a window titled "Firefly MV USB FMVU=03MTM Controls".

I click on "Start Video" and a window titled "Video Preview" appears but is blank.

I tried changing Video Format, Display Format, frame rate, but to no avail.

There are no buttons of any sort on the camera.

Any ideas on what's wrong?

Teruo
