which is a Thunderbolt to PCI-E card expansion box and is supposed to be available in 10 days. Will it be any better than Sonnet's Express Card product - no one knows. Hopefully it will at least provide power to Firewire which Sonnet's doesn't do.


As to the others, until they are actually shipping they are vapor ware - just like Apples Thunderbolt to FireWire adapter which still hasn't been heard of since announced in June. And I really wonder how well these chassises will work outdoors - especially at -40°C or in dewy condensing or dusty conditions too.  They aren't designed for outdoor use at all.


I have read quite a few reviews by people have had issues with using Thunderbolt for anything other than Mass Storage devices - so how stable they are or will be is a crap shoot.
