Dear Milton

I have not visited the group for some time and was sad to read about the current developments.

First of all I would like to thank you for the great work you did to enable Mac astronomers to do planetary, moon and solar photography natively under OsX.

With the focus of Apples business model and further direction, the scientific and industrial markets have become a niche application on their machines. It is sad but understandable that you can not continue the development of the software if there is no revenue in sight.

I will continue to use and promote Astro IIDC as long as I can but can currently not spend the 500 Dollars for a "Golden Key" since nobody knows for how many OS releases your software can work. As history shows there may be architectural changes made by Apple that will stop your software from working.

My hope is that this group will still be alive and kicking with new images created using Astro IIDC. Personally I wish you all the best wherever your ways may lead.

with best regards

Chris

Hi Folks;

I just got the Astro IIDC Web Site:

http://www.outcastsoft.com/ASCASTROIIDC.html

updated for Astro IIDC 4.09.00. I also included an expanded "Announcement" message, described what the "Golden Key" is and when it might become available.

If you have already expressed interest in getting a "Golden Key", you do not need to use that e-mail link for it. I already have you in my list of potential purchasers so I can order the Flash Drive for them.

Now I need to submit the PR release:

to various Mac relevant web sites.

TTYL..
