Great image! As a young man I had a fine 8 1/2" Newtonian and remember the views to be amazing even at that aperture it was a beast though not at all portable.

The scope is a vintage 1972 Cave 12.5" f/7 on the big 2 1/2" shaft Observatory mount, but on a rolling pier, that I found on the Los Angeles Craigslist this week. Almost blew it off, but I'm glad I didn't!
