Subject: WASP 10B Eoplanet Transit Captured

Hi Folks;

As I  previously mentioned :

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Astro_IIDC/message/5979

the Exoplanet WASP-10B is having several favorable transits in

September. Last night I managed to capture it before it disappeared

under the eve of the Condo above me.

Seeing was awful with FWHM in 5 to 7+ arc second range, but the skies

were clear and humidity very low (started at 20% and got to 55% at 2

am). Taken with an AT8 RC Scope, HEQ5 mount guided via Astro IIDC with a

Grasshopper 1 cameras at 7.5 fps on a Mag 7.9 star, Grasshopper 2 Mono

Camera (Binned 2x2 30 second exposures) for imaging. Photometric Data

reduction of the 428 images / 1.32 gigabyte movie was done in Astro IIDC

4.09.02 , Graphing done via Plot and annotation in AppleWorks - all done

on a Mac running OS X.

The Start / Middle / End times are the expected values from the

Exoplanet Database:

http://var2.astro.cz/ETD/index.php

and for some unknown reason, my start time is later by about 3 minutes

than the expected time. Despite the poor seeing, I was getting data

scatter of less than +/- 0.015 Magnitudes for my constant and check

stars.

TTYL..
