I couldn't agree with you more .... however the persuasiveness of these suggestions can be maximized with etiquette and eloquence (which you have in spades!)  Milton has stated several times that he may resume his former career as a field geologist so he will not be physically available to provide even the rudimentary support of new software keys.  Even though others are willing to fill in for him he may have personal reasons not to do so.
