Glad to hear it helped.

Make sure you get the updated Firmware for the Grasshopper 2 (Version 1.8.10) . I don't believe PGR have officially released it yet, so you might have to ask for it at Tech Support. This adds in the new very low noise and 90 minute exposure times.

There is one issue with the Grasshopper 2 that I don't believ I mentioned. In higher speed modes, the frame brightness varies as a gradient top left (darker) to bottom right (brighter). It's only a 1.6 percent difference left to right, but when you contrast stretch and then try to build an overlapping mosaic (which I was doing to produce 4000 x 4000 pixel solar images), it would never match up without the edges showing - even after a lot of blending. PGR is aware of this and was working on a fix for it.

HTH..

And thanks for the PGR camera reviews too Milton, I ended up ordering a Grasshopper 2 after reading your excellent review. No other reviews had the info I needed to make the buying decision.

It is arriving tomorrow, so I will finally get to try it out.
