I think I've forgotten how unforgiving November imaging sessions can
be in Toronto.
After collimating my Newtonian and letting the fans run for several
hours after supper I returned outside at 11:30 to find a thin layer of
ice had formed on my finder, Telrad, and the entire top surface of my
portable imaging table. Very nasty!
After spending a precious 20 minutes thawing with a hair dryer,
massive clouds rolled in and I was resigned to try and wait them out.
They never really went away but I did get about 10 minutes of clear
space to grab some continuous data.
Too bad, because the seeing appeared to be very very good and given
more time I would have upped the image scale to f/30.
