Ok I'm replying to my own message.

Turns out that Skype is interfering with Astro IIDC with this camera. If I start Astro IIDC before skype all is good.

As for the parameters :

CCD CFA Pattern : Bayer GBRG

16bit video shift : 6bit

I notice that we can change the Saturation.

Also Astro IIDC let you select Frame rates that aren't supported. In these case you'll get a frozen frame or a white frame. Just change the FPS.

The trick with skype worked once ..

Now Astro IIDC crashes every time no matter what is running.

I tested with 4.09.02 and 4.09.03

If I use the camera in Skype as a test it works (640x480 monochrome as it doesn't know that it's a bayer matrix).

Then after that I can launch Astro IICD and it then works.

So I wonder if there is a camera firmware issue at play here and that these might need some upgrade.

If Astro IIDC is the first application using the camera when it's plugged … it crashes.
