Subject: New User - Any Chance?

Hi All:

I came across some articles on Astro IIDC and would really like to give it a try. I understand the software publisher (seller / author) closed its doors a while ago. Are the latest versions found here and on the web 'unlocked' versions or do they need a key to use fully? If the software needs a key, is there a way to still buy it or are folks like me just S.O.L.?  (I know of a number of software developers that when they decided to stop selling and supporting a piece of software, they put a final unlocked version out there for the community / future folks to use at their own risk - no support. Any chance that has been done?)  Thanks for any help...
