With a Chief you basically end up with a unobstructed newtonian reflector so you would need to employ a coma corrector if you are doing some wide field imaging with a large sensor.


One cool thing about a Chief regarding planetary imaging is the built in ability to compensate for atmospheric dispersion by decentering one of the corrective lenses in the vertical axis.  Really makes it THE planetary killing telescope!
