Hi Jim ,

Nice work ! love those things ,

Just one comment , as far as I know its a schiefspiegler , ( schief meaning not straight or angled ) designed by Anton Kutter , we call it a Kutter telescope .

Or did you come up with something completely different ?

Optical its a great design mechanical its a pain in the b.. ,

A friend of mine ( Rik ter Horst )  has made some exceptional Kutters , even large ones up to 16 " , he found a solution to get rid of the corrector lens needed for larger Kutters .

He made a toric secundary mirror , difficult to make but its much better .

We Had a star-party last weekend , did talk with Rik about his Kutter telescopes he made , he has abandoned it because of the mechanical problems .

He likes schmidt-cassegrains more these day's , no not the M's or The C's , he makes his own , with less obstruction , and F20 or F25 , they are on par with any unobstructed telescope .

You can find some of his creations , do a search on Rik ter Horst , Opticon , Lynx , Mistal or telescoop .

Most text wil be in Dutch , pictures are multilangual.

Have fun with your creation !
