Subject: Re: [Astro_IIDC] time track ?

Hi Ron;

It’s always saved as UTC time code track.

If you want better accuracy on your timing, right before you start recording video (say 30 seconds before), turn your network off, wait about 5 seconds, then turn it back on. Apple will usually update the Macs internal clock time when it restarts the network connection. They used to writ that in the log file, but I don’t know if they do that anymore.

Good luck..

Hi,  a quick question - When making a recording  will AstroIIDC record the UT (or local) time off the Mac its hooked is to - is that a correct assumption?   I might try an record an asteroid occultation tonite, so need to record the time track and want to make sure its as accurate as the Apple time.   But weather prospects aren't good.   thanks.  Ron
