I got an error message when I upgraded my touchbar mac to Mojave, saying that Astro IIDC wouldn't work any longer.  But so far it seems to, though I haven't connected a camera to it, just processed data.

I should also note that my touchbar mac doesn't seem to provide enough power to adapters to run my firewire cameras with it.  So I've revived my 2004 Powerbook G4 for that.  My early 2011 Macbook Pro is pretty much as fast as the newer mac, and has a FW800 port, but it's one of the infamous graphics chip failure mother boards.  It takes about 30 tries to get it to stay on without crashing, and after a while it starts crashing when it's warm too.
