I plan to keep my older macs alive as long as possible, primarily for Astro IIDC use.

But I've been having issues at work with running my favorite GIS software - Global Mapper - in Win 10 via parallels on my Macpro.  In that case, global mapper is looking for OpenGL 3.3 or higher, but Apple supports only up to 2.1.  I've got another year lease on this machine, but I plan to transfer it to a colleague and replace it with a Dell workstation.

I've been a Mac user since 1984, and am ready to bail (at work at any rate).

I'll probably look for a retina-based powerbook to replace the 2011 (which was a wonderful machine when it worked) when I can find one for a good price.
