Milton, et al.

I operate the largest solar astronomy/ imaging forum on the internet at www.solarchatforum.com

It is a phpBB forum and I have plenty of server space.

Im happy to dedicate a topic or forum or even a standalone for ASTRO IIDC at my expense.  I dont know anything about migrating our current content over but am willing to do so if anyone else does.

From my iPhone (sorry if it's short)

Hi Folks;

Yahoo Groups is basically going away in December this year.

I have not looked at many options yet, but many other active groups are migrating to Groups.IO. Groups.IO has a free mode, but it is quite limited and it does not look like we could migrate the Yahoo content over. To do the migration and keep The Yahoo Groups feature we have currently will cost $110 USD per year in Group.IO. I'm not wiling to spend $110 USD per year for a nearly dormant group and I do not expect anyone else to do that either.

If anyone has other suggestions for free groups that can be closed off for members only (I don't want to waste time with Spammers), I'm all ears.

Or perhaps it's time to to just end the group and move on?

Your thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.
