Hi Stephen and others;

That’s very kind of you to offer. That sounds like a good solution to me and hopefully other people too. All I really want is that the knowledge base for Astro IIDC and imaging methods are preserved and accessible by people.

The only issue I have at this point is figuring out how we can extract the messages from Yahoo without manually pulling up each message and copy - pasting each into a text file, as there are currently 6546 messages since 2005. I’ve found reference to a couple of 3rd party export tools, but have not explored them yet too see how well they work and what they create. Yahoo does not seem to have any facility to export the messages that I can find.

I’ll keep the list informed on what I find out and we’ll take it from there.

Have a great weekend..

Milton, et al.

I operate the largest solar astronomy/ imaging forum on the internet at www.solarchatforum.com

It is a phpBB forum and I have plenty of server space.

Im happy to dedicate a topic or forum or even a standalone for ASTRO IIDC at my expense.  I dont know anything about migrating our current content over but am willing to do so if anyone else does.
