Subject: First Mars of 2005

It must be a night of "firsts" for Mars - Duane then me.

I finally got my replacement RA drive thursday, so I took a sequence

of Mars shots Friday night and processed them this afternoon.

Overall a mediocre night for turbulence, but I still picked up a fair

bit of detail. I shot 11.5 gigabytes of video and tossed out 70% of

it. By 3 am, the Jet Stream was making mars into a blurry 50 arc

second jumping bean so I gave it up and went to bed.
