Hi folks - I'm joining the webcam party, and am very happy with
Astro IIDC and my new Unibrain Fire-i monochrome board camera.
Astro IIDC controls are great.
My first pictures of the moon are at

Comments welcome.
I look forward to making many more. Also waiting for the
return of clear weather to try Mars.
I have some feature requests:
- a graph over time of sharpness, with an indicator of recent
max, to aid focusing.
- a graph of image luminance through the image centroid, also
to aid focusing.
- other focus metrics? I use full width at half max for a Gaussian
fitted to a star image in a program I wrote for DSLRs
(iAstroPhoto).
This is just a wish list, Astro IIDC is a great program as is.
Keep up the good work and thanks for contributing to the
astronomy on mac community
