Subject: My final Saturn (finally)

Seeing in Toronto on Thursday night was unbelievable, 8-9/10!

Coincidentally I received my Custom Scientific RGB filters in the mail so I tried them out on

my cheap Apogee filter wheel (the dichroic filters that came with it are no good, unable to get

proper color balance with them).

I'm pretty happy with the colours,  the subtle transitions are visible.  I don't think I'll be able

to image Saturn under such great conditions for some time.

Milton, thanks for the tip.  I just made another copy of AstroIIDC and renamed it, two copies

can now be opened simultaneously.

Alan,  great tips on Jupiter.  When you average the R+G to get luminance data do you simply

merge the two layers at 50% opacity each?
