Subject: Re: [Astro_IIDC] Re: Manually Selecting Points for Stacking

Hi Don;

Actually, no one has ever sent me a file with their selection points back, except when we were doing the Alpha / Beta development for Version 3.x

And people like Alan Friedman want them so they know what their matching area selection was when creating their mosaics.

Hi Don;

Yes, that's correct, selection 1 is stacked tiff 1, selection 2 is

stacked tiff 2 etc. etc.

And you can save an image showing your selections points by check

marking the "Save Selections to Tiff File" checkbox when you select

them (see page 34 of the Astro IIDc Help Manual for details). Then

you have something to refer back too.

I noticed that when I place more than one reference point for stacking

(out of 20 possible), I get an equal number of images. As such, I am

assuming that each resulting image for each entered stacking point?

For instance, if I put three on an image, i get three TIFFS, and I

assume that TIFF No.1 is associated with Stacking point no. 1, etc...?

Thanks,
