Very cool - glad it's working for you and the students.

I am also curious to hear if the "Histogram Expand" ("Hist. Expand"

pop up menu in the Camera Controls window) helps or not for enhancing narrow band Solar features. The "Once" option would be your best bet and is then consistent afterwards.

PS: On a side note, someone asked me this week how to control two copies of Astro IIDC from (one named "Astro IIDC" and the second named "Astro IIDC copy") a single Apple Script. Here is a very simple example that tells each camera to grab a frame in sequence.

tell application "Astro IIDC"

grab frame -- tell first copy to grab a frame

tell application "Astro IIDC Copy"

grab frame -- tell second copy to grab a frame

end tell
