Subject: Venus Trasnit First and Second Contacts

Hi Folks;

Here is first and and second contacts for Venus.

I shot ~ 89 gigabytes of video (48 movies 1384x1036 16 bit at 24 fps for 25 minutes) under horrible conditions of 60 to 90 kmph surface winds, dusty, temperatures to 30°C and essentially overcast conditions with erratic cloud patches. Exposure times were anywhere from 0.45 ms to 33.33 ms depending on cloud thickness. I had Astro IIDC Auto Adjust the exposure to try and keep things reasonable.

I hope to eventually make the stacks into a movie when I get back from vacation.

Oddly enough, turbulence conditions were actually pretty good, as predicted by NAM forecast.

Now the hard drive is reporting "I/O Errors" of course and some of the movies are probably ruined. A 1 year old Mac Book Pro 17" laptop (Highest end product they make) from Apple is already packing it in - of course Apple does zero Quality control on Macs anymore - just shove the crap out the door.

TTYL..
